Frequently asked questions

I'm new to yoga, fitness, or Pilates. Can I still attend?
Absolutely. Many of our members are beginners. Our instructors provide modifications and guidance throughout class so you can move at your own pace. We recommend starting with Foundations Reformer, Flow, Balance, Melt, Strong, or Mat Pilates if you're new to group fitness.
What should I bring to class?
We recommend bringing a water bottle, a sweat towel and comfortable workout clothing. Yoga mats, props, and reformer equipment are provided. Grip socks are required for Reformer Pilates classes and we do have extra socks for use or purchase at the studio if needed.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your first class. This gives you time to park, walk up to the studio, check in, get familiar with the space, and meet your instructor. Returning members should aim to arrive 5–10 minutes before class begins.
Do I need to be fit or flexible before I start?
Not at all. You don't need to get fit before coming to Live Well Mvmnt. Our classes are designed to help you build strength, mobility, endurance, and confidence regardless of your starting point.
What makes Live Well Mvmnt different?
We believe wellness is about more than just exercise. Live Well Mvmnt brings together yoga, fitness, reformer Pilates, and Thai massage under one roof, creating a complete approach to movement and recovery. Plus, with Live Bowl'd just down the street, healthy nourishment is never far away.
Do you offer infrared heated classes?
Yes. All yoga and fitness classes are held in infrared heat. The gentle heat helps warm the muscles, improve mobility, and create a sweat-inducing workout experience. Reformer Pilates classes will be warm but not infrared.
Is there parking available?
Yes! There is plenty of street parking available near the studio, paid parking lots directly across from the Strathcona Farmers Market, as well as additional parking options throughout the Whyte Avenue area. We recommend arriving a few minutes early for your first visit to give yourself time to find a spot and get settled before class. Pro tip: arriving 10–15 minutes before class is the perfect amount of time to park, check in, and ease into your workout or recovery session.
Where is Live Bowl'd and what do they offer?
Live Bowl'd is just 4 doors down from the studio located at 10336 82 Ave and they sell smoothies, açai bowls, lattes and avocado toasts. livebowld.com
How can I book a Thai Massage?
You can book a Thai massage directly through Thai Motion Therapy under the Thai Massage tab at the top of the website.
